Description

Bhairav Kunda Trek is one of the popular pilgrimage sites with sacred holy lake. It takes you deep in the Himalaya ranges. Bhairav Kunda is a sacred place for both Hindu and Buddhist. Devotees visit this high-elevation holy mountain lake to pay their homage and take bath during every Bhadra (August) full moon. The views of the high Himalaya are spectacular. Walk through fascinating villages and visit a famous nunnery. Bhairav Kunda Trek is one of the newly introduced treks and non-crowed trek in Nepal.

The starting point for this trek is a five hours drive from Kathmandu towards the Tibetan border. We travel through a mixture of beautiful mountain scenery and the terraced fields and characteristic houses of rural villages from different ethnic groups. This is the old trade route between Nepal and Tibet.

The unusual climatic and geographical mix makes this area a naturalists dream and a Mecca for those who appreciate traditional cultures. During the trek, you will enjoy the spectacular views of Tibetan mountains and the Jugal Himal section of the Himalayan Range, which includes the peaks of Dorje Lakpa, Sisa Pangma, Madiya, Phurbi Ghhyachu and more snow caped Rolwaling ranges. .
