Lhasa Everest Base Trek will fulfill your dream of approach to Everest and exploring the mystic Tibet and its historical city at a time. Lhasa-Everest Base Camp trek starts with a wonderful Himalayan flight to Lhasa from Kathmandu. Within this one hour flight you will get an opportunity to view spectacular Himalayan view. After arrive at Lhasa, you will be visiting places like Jokhang Temple, Barkhor market, Potala Palace, Sera and Drepung monasteries. After finishing the tour at Lhasa, you will leave to Gyantse from Lhasa on the way of which you will pass through Yamadroke Lake and very high passes at 5,000m. Then, you will go for sightseeing in Gyantse after which you will drive to Xigatze in the evening through the typical Tibetan countryside. In Xigatse you will visit the Panchen Lamas Tashilhumpu Monastery in morning and drive to Tingri crossing over Gyatchula (a pass of 5,200m) in the evening ending up todays journey. In Ronbuk you get a chance to visit the highest monastery in the world and visit the Everest Base Camp. You can rent a horse cart to travel to the Base camp or you can walk. On the way back from Ronbok you will enjoy viewing the extraordinary view of Mt. Sishapagma Mt. Cho Oyo and passing by several beautiful waterfalls to the Nepal-Tibet Border.

Day 1 : Kathmandu/Lhasa (By Flight)
After Breakfast, we will transfer you to Kathmandu Airport in the morning. You will fly for about an hour over the panoramic Himalayan Ranges to the capital of Tibet. "Lhasa”. Lhasa at an altitude of 3,650 Mt, is situated on the north bank of Kyichu River. Lhasa in Tibetan means "Place of the Gods", the residence of the Dalai Lama., on arrival you will be met by the local representative and transferred to your respective hotel. (60 km/1hr). Full rest in the afternoon to acclimatize. Overnight at hotel in Lhasa.

Day 2 : Sightseeing in Lhasa
After breakfast proceed for full day sightseeing of Potala Palace, and & Norbulinka. Potala Palace, this legendary palace built atop a single hill is synonymous with Tibet by the first foremost king Songtsen Gompa. Norbulingka meaning 'Treasure Park' covers an area of around 360000 sq. m. and is considered to be the biggest man made garden in Tibet. After sightseeing you will be transferred to hotel for your Overnight at hotel in Lhasa.

Day 3 : Sightseeing in Lhasa
After breakfast full day sightseeing of Sera Monastery, Jokhang Monastery, Barkhor Market. Sera Monastery, 5 Kms north of Lhasa, Sera setting is one of Lhasa's prettiest monasteries. Once a community of more than 5,000 monks resided here and was virtually extinguished by the Chinese. Jokhang Temple, situated in the heart of Old Lhasa, it houses Tibet's most precious religious relic, a golden Shakyamuni Buddha which was brought as a gift by the Chinese Princess Wen Cheng on the occasion of her wedding to the Tibetan King, Songtsen Gompo. Barkhor Market place, which is the religious and social focus of Lhasa. After Sightseeing you will be transferred to hotel for your Overnight at hotel in Lhasa.

Day 4 : Lhasa-Gyangtse (3990 m), 350 km.
Drive via Yamdrok, the Turquoise Lake to Gyangtse across Kampa la pass 5050 m and Karo la (5045 m) passes. Visit Kubum stupa and Pelkor Chode Monastery. O/N Hotel.

Day 5 : Gyangtse-Shalu-Shigatse (3860 m), 90 km.
Drive to Shigatse. En route visit Shalu Monastery. Visit Tashilhunpo Monastery, the seat of Panchen Lama who is the 2nd in the Buddhist religious hierarchy and Shigatse Market. O/N Hotel.

Day 6 : Shigatse-Sakya-Shegar/Tingri(4350 m)
Today we arrive at Dingri, a windblown settlement and the gateway to Mt. Everest where we meet our Nepali Sherpa staffs. En route visit Sakya Monastery. Camp.

Day 7 : Start Trek from Tingri
The next 5 days we trek from the Tingri plains (14,400 ft) to all the way upto Dza Rongbu Monastery (16,350 ft) and Everest Base Camp at 16,900 ft. We begin our trek along Ra Chhu stream to beyond Chholling and past the village of Lungjhang (14,900 ft). Overnight Camp.

Day 8 : We continue our trek and pass through a small goat or Drokpa encampment and camp below Lamna La (15,600 ft).

Day 9 : We climb over Lamna La (16,900 ft)
with Gyachung Kang and Cho Oyu off to the south; and descend to Zommug, at 15,700 ft the highest permanent settlement in the Everest region. Zommug is a center for animal husbandry and a supply center for yaks used on Everest expeditions. Overnight Camp.

Day 10 : Trek to Rongbuk
To the south of Zommug is the famed Dza Rongbuk Monastery reached by either a spectacular high route or an easier low path. Once a flourishing retreat center, it is built by Dzatrul Ngawang Tenzin Norbu in early 1901-02. The majestic Everest stands towering high above in full glare.

Day 11 : Everest Base Camp
Everest Base Camp (16,900 ft) and the Rongbuk Glacier are approximately 2-3 hrs above the monastery. The route passes retreat caves, the ruins of the nunnery of Sherab Chholing and the fast flowing Dzaka Chu. Just before the terminus of the Rongbuk Glacier is Everest Base Camp. Across a creek, is the ocean of ice that composes the Rongbuk Glacier, with views of the Himalayan range that are among the most spectacular ever. O/N Camp.

Day 12 : Trek to Tingri
Leaving Dza Rongbuk, we drive through the village of Chhosang, Phadrukchi, over Pang La, across Phung Chhu or Arun River, and into Tingri. O/N Camp/Guest House..

Day 13 : Tingri-Zhangmu Border
From the Tingri plain we drive across the high Tibetan plateau to the trade post town of Nylam and onto Zhangmu, the border town. En route visit Milarepa Cave where Tibet's greatest yogi of the 11th century Milarepa meditated. O/N Hotel.

Day 14 : Zhangmu-Kathmandu
After necessary border formalities continue scenic drive to Kathmandu through the green lush countryside- transfer to your Hotel. End of tour.
