Muktinath is a sacred place for both Hindus and Buddhists located in Muktinath Valley at an altitude of 3,710 meters at the foot of the Thorong La mountain pass (part of the Himalayas) in Mustang, Nepal. The site is close to the village of Ranipauwa. According Hinduism, it is called Mukti Kshetra, which literally means the place of liberation or moksha. The ancient name of this place in Sri Vaishnava literature, before Buddhist origin clarification needed, is Thiru Saligram (Fossils). This clarification needed houses the Saligrama shila, considered to be the naturally available form of Sriman Narayana the Hindu Godhead. It is also one of the 51 Shaktipeethams. The Buddhists call it Chumig Gyatsa, which in Tibetan means Hundred Waters. Although the temple has a Vaishnava origin, it is also revered in Buddhism. For Tibetan Buddhists, Muktinath-Chumig Gyatsa is a very important place of Dakinis, goddesses known as Sky Dancers, and one of the 24 Tantric places. Accomodation
Himalaya Family provide the accommodations during the trek are on twin sharing basis with inclusive cost and are chosen based on standard of hygiene food and suitable location. Most of the Lodges has clean rooms and separate Bathrooms. We will use small lodge during the trek and 2/3 star category Hotel in Kathmandu and Pokhara. We also provide 3/4/5 star hotel on your request.
Meals
We will provide the Food on full board basis will be served during the trek in the mountains. Three meals in a day (Breakfast-Lunch-Dinner) will be served from the lodge. The dinner and breakfast will be served in the same lodge we spend the night. Lunch will be taken on the way to destination at a tea houses. Breakfasts will be served in Kathmandu/Pokhara as well. Most of the lodges has the food menu, Our Guide will suggest you the organic and hygienic local meal.
Day 1 : Arrival at Kathmandu and Transfer to Hotel
When you arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA), our company representative will welcome you and drive towards the designated hotel. After a rest for a while, we will give a short briefing about our program and you will be provided with a Typical Nepali welcome Dinner in the evening.
Day 2 : Guided Sightseeing in Kathmandu Valley
Next day, we provide sightseeing guided by an expert to visit many beautiful places listed in the UNESCO heritage sites such as the Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath Stupa, Swoyambhunath Stupa, Durbar Square and many more.
Day 3 : Drive/Fly to Pokhara
