Day 1 : Arrival to Kathmandu and Transfer to Hotel.
After you arrive in Kathmandu, you will be welcomed by Himalaya Family representative at the airport and then you will be transferred to the hotel. You will be briefly described about your tour and check in to the Hotel. You will have dinner in typical Nepali restaurant and enjoy folk dance performances in the evening at 7 to 9 pm and overnight at hotel in Kathmandu.
Day 2 : Sightseeing in Kathmandu Valley
After Breakfast at Hotel, you will be going around cultural heritages enlisted in UNESCO World Heritage sites in Kathmandu valley – the sacred Hindu temple of Pashupatinath, the world biggest Stupa, Boudhanath, Swayambhunath Stupa (monkey temple) and historical Kathmandu Durbar Square, Bhaktapur Durbar Square, Patan Durbar Square and amazing Kumari House widely known as Living Goddess in Basantapur of central Kathmandu.
Day 3 : Kathmandu- Drive to Nyalam (150km, 3300m.)
After you leave Kathmandu, you will start your day with a short trip through attractive Nepalese country side. Reaching the border will be quick. As soon as we get there, you need to fill different paper work. After all the things, you will head to Nyalam with a string of vertical switchbacks. You will be surrounded by the gorgeous cascading waterfalls and mossy gullies in your path.
Day 4 : Rest Day at Nyalam (3300m.)
It is more a day for good acclimatization which is necessary for Kailash trekking journey. Free afternoon look around. Overnight at guest house.
Day 5 : Nyalam- Drive to Saga (4450m.)
This is your first long driving day on the rocky and sandy path of Tibet. You will also see lake, wanderers looking for thousands of yaks, sheep. In the late afternoon, you will come across Brahmaputra River making way to classic Chinese and Tibetan city. Here the Saga Hotel will be the top and standard local hotel. Same Day we have to cross 5670m. Dolma-La Pass on the way.
Day 6 : Saga - Drive to Manasarovar (4558m.) 8-10hrs drive hrs
Today, you start your trip by driving from Saga to Paryang which more or less take seven hours to reach and which is about 255 km far. You will go through Zhongba. After that, you start your drive yet again from Paryang to Mansarovar (Chiu Village) which is about 260km far and could possibly take six to seven hours to arrive. Later after the long and stressful drive, you will be staying in a guest house or Tents.
Day 7 : Mansarovar- Puja and drive to Darchen (4610m.) 40 km
After the holy Puja and bath at Lake Manasarovar, you drive off to Darchen which is about 30km far and could probably take one hour to arrive. After the drive, you will be spending your time doing whatever you want and will be staying in a Guesthouse tonight.
Day 8 : Darchen- Trek to Dira-Puk (5000m.)
You trek for about 5000m to reach Dira Puk. You will be having our breakfast on the way and head to Tarboch which is 8 km away. After you leave the place, you start your trek from Kora of Mt. Kailash to Dira Puk. You will be having a light lunch on the way. When the day is about to end, you will have your dinner at a camp and most probably, you will be staying in a fixed camp tonight.
Day 9 : Dira Puk- Trek to Zuthul Puk (18 km, 6-7 hrs, 550m ascent, 600m descent)
The trek is around 16 km to Zuthul Puk. Down the way, yak men and yak will help you carry the bags and you will follow your Tibetan guide. Your Tibetan driver will also trek on this region if he wants to. After the long walk and stress, you will probably stay in a guest house tonight.
Day 10 : Zuthal puk- Drive to Mansarovar and then to Saga(4590m.)
Early in the morning you start your trek from Zutul-Puk to Darchen and then later drive to Mansarovar. After spending some time in Mansarovar you will be starting a new drive from Mansarovar to Saga after the long day drive, you will be spending your night in a Guesthouse or in a Hotel in Saga.
Day 11 : Saga - Drive to Kerung: (245 km, 6-7 hr, 2450m)
After breakfast drive back to Kerung. The drive will continue for about 6 to 7/8 hours through the south-west trail enjoying the great scenario of the surroundings. The Kerung is at the altitude of 2450m. the night will be enjoying after the long driving. Overnight at local hotels or guest house.
Day 12 : Drive from Kerung to Kathmandu
Today, you will finally enter Nepal from Tibet. It is the last day of our Mt.Kailash Tour. After your breakfast, you start a drive from Kerung to Kathmandu. After you reach Kerung, you will be said good-bye by your Tibetan driver and guide and you meet up with our Nepali representative who will assist you with official procedures. You drive back to Kathmandu which is 5 hours drive after that. You will spend your night in one of the Hotel in Kathmandu.
Day 13 : Extra Day in Kathmandu
Day 14 : Final Departure
Himalaya Family Representative will transfer you to the airport for the final departure to your next destination.
